Oh Alison, so very sorry to here about Lia's accident. Hope you are both feeling okay after your urgent trip to the hospital. On the plus side, little ones bones do 'fix' seamlessly and quickly (had lots of experience with four kids!) so fingers crossed for a rapid response! I can see lots of treats in the pipeline for Lia in the next couple of weeks ... go on spoil her rotten, she deserves it! Lots of hugs to you both Lyn x

What a shame, poor little thing. My granddaughter broke her leg at 6 months while still in nappies, and had a great big cast on up to her waist. She soon recovered though, and best thing is she won't remember it.
Please give my best to Alison and Lia.
Lyn

Hi Alison,
Sorry to hear of your little one, hope she heals quickly and without further problems. My daughter broke her arm twice within a few years, same one roughly the same place. All is well now though, they are like rubber when they are small, and the break is usually clean as unlike us they do not tense up when they fall. Hugs to both of you. Lorna xx

dear Alison,
So sorry to hear about Lia's broken arm. As others have said, this is just the start of all the ;scrapes' that she will get over the next few years. My lot were never done! They are now experiencing the same with hteir own children.
Don't feel bad about it. It is par for the parenthood course. Sending you both lots of love,
Eleanor x

Hi everyone, Many many thanks for your wishes, big thanks to Melly for keeping you up to date, yes got quite a shock when we heard the thud on the floor, Alan rushed to get her, we knew something wasn't right when she wasn't moving her arm, we got in the car asap and straight to the hospital, Yes Jenni we were asked 20 questions over and over again . She has a nice pink cast on, although she doesn't like it and keeps asking for it to be taken off bless her, Have had two hypos today and felt awful must be the shock I think. Thankfully she is ok, quite cheerful and will go back in 3 weeks, not two like I told Melly to get her cast removed, fingers crossed she will be ok, like you say they heal very quickly, we will be watching her even more like a hawk now.....that was the first time she has attempted to climb out of her cot too, got a shock and we both feel bad for whats happened to her.......Wll keep you posted when she get the cast removed, she was very brave though, got a sticker, some sweets from the Dr's and certificate for being brave. Many thanks for your wishes, prayers and thoughts, we appreciate them all very much, Thank you, Lots of love from us all xxx

Alison, must have been a shock for you, my son was always climbing lout of his cot, amazed he didnt do any damage!! My daughter Leanne broke her arm while running up and down the hallway with a friend when she was 6. These things happen, its no ones fault. Wishing her better soon, lots of hugs to you both x BARBARA

Hope you are feeling better after your shock of finding her.
But children will be children, you only have to take your eyes off them for a moment, turn your back and something happens.
Give brave Lia a kiss from me.
Love to you all.

Aww thank you everyone, feeling a bit better today after yesterdays shock, Lia keeps asking for the cast to be took off, bless. Im just hoping the 3 weeks goes over quick to get the cast off, it was ever so awkward to get her blouse on she kept whimpering, made us feel worse. I'm giving Lia lots of love and kisses from everyone here...Not sure why they said 2 weeks at first for the cast to be took off then changed it to 3 weeks, but the nurse said it's ok nothing to worry about, just better to leave it for three weeks instead........ .... Lia slept brilliantly more than me or Alan, she slept on her back all night but she normally like to cuddle into Ted, we had visions of her being awake most of the night thankfully she was fine,...She's been quite cheerful today apart from getting her blouse on...Will keep you posted on how she gets on, Many thanks to you all....Love us all xxx

Good news Alison. Lia seems to have adjusted to the broken arm and the plaster. How are you today? Sounds like you had a dreadful day yesterday.
Take care, hope that Lia continues to do well.
